Estate Single Vineyard
la Côte Pinot Noir
Upon release, the 2015 la Côte is the most cohesive, complete, and integrated wine we’ve ever bottled. In short, we have nothing but unbridled enthusiasm for this wine. True to the vintage, the wine is richly colored and the aromatics are focused and intense. Texturally, the wine possesses electrifying amplitude and pliancy for such a young, tightly wound wine. The persistent and harmonious mid-palate and the way the acidity hums through the finish is striking.
Our la Côte bottling has always come from the upper portion of the vineyard. More and more, the vines just below the oak tree have yielded wine that separates itself from the rest of la Côte. This section of la Côte forms the backbone of the 2015 bottling. As we follow the progression of these vines we’re leaning towards a new bottling from this uppermost sliver of the vineyard…stay tuned.
